Spring Bank Holiday Service Alterations

Over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend, there are changes to services across the National Express East Anglia network.

 

GE Metro and Mainline services from Liverpool Street to Shenfield, Southend, Colchester, Ipswich, Norwich and branches,

Network Rail are undertaking route improvement work and Liverpool Street station is closed to Great Eastern line services on all three days.

 

On Saturday 29th May, the line is closed between Liverpool Street and Ilford. Buses will run from Newbury Park LUL to Ilford and Romford for Metro and GE passengers whilst Norwich Intercity passengers will travel by bus between Newbury Park and Ingatestone with LUL Central Line services used between Liverpool Street, Stratford and Newbury Park and the TfL route 86 bus for local stations between Stratford and Ilford. 

 

On Sunday 30th and Monday 31st May, the line is closed between Liverpool Street and Shenfield. Buses will run from Newbury Park LUL to Ingatestone for mainline and Intercity passengers with buses operating between Newbury Park and Shenfield for Southend passengers. Additional trains will operate between Shenfield and Southend Victoria for the Southend Airshow. Metro passengers will have a combination of NXEA replacement buses to Newbury Park and TfL bus routes.

West Anglian service from Liverpool Street to Hertford East, Stansted Airport and Cambridge

 

From 06.40 Saturday until close of service Monday, no services are able to call at Stratford. All services will be diverted to/from Liverpool Street and will not call at Stratford.

Bank Holiday Monday rural routes additional trains

On Monday, most rural routes will run to a revised Sunday service with additional trains operating in the morning. On the Sheringham branch, an hourly service will be operated and trains on the Norwich-Cambridge and Felixstowe routes are significantly retimed from Sunday timetables.
