Car Parking
Most National Express East Anglia station car parks are managed by National Car Parks (N.C.P.)
You have told us that car parking is an important part of making a journey with us. So you'll be pleased to know that our contract with N.C.P. has seen £250,000 invested in our car parks within the last year and we plan to invest a further £7 million before the end of 2011.
We will be:
Improving the service
National Express East Anglia’s Pay by Phone and online permit services have been replaced with RingGo – a service which, for phone parking, offers cheaper calls to park, greater security, and on-line and e-mailed VAT receipts. Current Pay by Phone customers, who haven’t previously used RingGo, need to register here to use the service.
Increasing capacity
- Audley End 150 spaces by February 2010
- Harlow Town 286 spaces by December 2010
- Diss 60 spaces by March 2011
- An additional 150 spaces is also planned at Marks Tey station, subject to the grant of planning permission and finalising funding
- Electronic season tickets will reduce the number of paper tickets issued
Improving the environment
- Relining and reconfiguration to achieve small capacity increases and environmental improvements
- Greatly improved cleaning, vegetation and winterisation arrangements in the car parks
Paying for your parking
To ‘make travel simpler’ we have introduced several different ways to pay for your car parking.
Pay in advance with Season tickets online
If you travel regularly with National Express East Anglia you can save money on the daily price of car parking by buying a Car Park Season Ticket. Permits come in monthly, quarterly, six monthly or annual denominations and you can buy these for your chosen car park, quickly and easily, through our on line buying service. No physical permit is needed, so you can purchase any time - from when you want to use it, to a month in advance.
Pay on the day with Cash or RingGo cashless parking
If you would rather pay daily for your parking, you can either use RingGo cashless parking (call 020 3046 0010 from your mobile and pay with your credit or debit card), or pay at the machine with coins or a debit card.
With RingGo:
- You can pay for your parking on the way to, or even from the train itself
- You don’t need to visit a machine and
- You don’t need a ticket (parking attendants know you have paid by checking your vehicle registration number)
If you haven’t used RingGo before and wish to save time the first time you park, you can pre-register online.
When you call to park, you will need to know the relevant four digit RingGo location code, which is shown on signs in the car park and on the RingGo where it works map (use the search box or click on a marker to see the specific code).
For more information about RingGo, FAQs and how it works, please see the National Express RingGo section.
Car parking prices
Car parking prices can be found in the Station Facilities section of the website.
Select the station you wish to park at on the interactive route map and click through to view all facilities at that station including car park details and pricing.
Park Mark
We are pleased to have achieved 42 Park Mark awards at 33 of our station car parks. The Park Mark demonstrates that a car park has measures in place to deter crime and anti-social behaviour, and has been risk assessed by the police, thus making the car park a safer environment for both you and your vehicle.
