All National Express East Anglia station car parks are managed by National Car Parks (N.C.P.)
You have told us that car parking is an important part of making a journey with us. So you'll be pleased to know that our new contract with N.C.P. will see £967,000 investment in our car parks (over the next 2 years) to help make using them simpler.
We will be:
52 new Pay & Display machines of which 40 will accept debit cards
“Pay by Mobile” facility at all car parks
Text payment facility at all car parks
Virtua automatic number plate recognition payment system enabling automatic payment upon entering your chosen car park.
Security improvements including new and upgrade of existing CCTV
Deployment of late night parking patrollers offering escorts from train to car park at 23 key locations. This commences from October to March each year. View the Lone Traveller service for more information about how to organise an escort to your car.
NCP Virtua ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) virtual parking enforcement system at 10 major car parks by July 2008 and across all car parks by July 2010
To achieve minimum 22 Park Mark awards across our network of station car parks by mid 2009
Relining and reconfiguration to achieve small capacity increases and environmental improvements
Greatly improved cleaning, vegetation and winterisation arrangements in the car parks
Electronic season tickets will reduce the number of paper tickets issued

We will introduce a number plate recognition payment system in 10 of our National Express East Anglia station car parks by August 2008.
If you prefer a little more flexibility and would like to purchase your ticket on the day you may use a pay and display machine located in any of our car parks. We have installed a fleet of car park machines that accept not only cash but also debit cards making your purchases simpler by eliminating the need to find change.

To demonstrate our commitment to you by making your experience of our station car parks simpler, we are working hard towards achieving 22 Park Mark awards across our car park network by July 2009. This will mean that our car parks will be recognised by the British Transport Police and the British Parking Association.
We recognise that safety and security are important to you and therefore have introduced a lone traveller scheme allowing assistance from ‘car to train’ at 23 key station car parks across the network.
