Christmas & New Year Train Service Arrangements
Sunday 24 December 2006, Christmas Eve
A modified Sunday service will operate. Most routes operated by National Express will close down earlier than usual on Christmas Eve. The last trains from London Liverpool Street will depart at the following times:
19.02 to Harwich Town *; 19.32 to Walton-on-Naze / Braintree; 19.32 to Norwich *, 20.02 to Ipswich *; 20.32 to Clacton; 21.15 to Southend Victoria; 21.35 all stations to Gidea Park; 21.30 to Chelmsford / Colchester; 21.28 to Cambridge; 21.30 to Chingford; 20.03 to Hertford East; 20.33 to Seven Sisters / Enfield Town; 23.25 to Stansted Airport.
* There is engineering work taking place between Colchester and Harwich / Ipswich on Christmas Eve with a replacement bus service operating between these stations, this will affect services to Harwich, Ipswich and Norwich.
On National Express Rural routes, the last trains will depart at the following times:
17.55 Ipswich to Peterborough; 19.44 Peterborough to Ipswich / Colchester;
19.02 Ipswich to Cambridge; 19.12 Cambridge to Ipswich;
18.15 Norwich to Cambridge; 19.38 Cambridge to Norwich;
18.36 Norwich to Sheringham; 19.43 Sheringham to Norwich;
18.05 Lowestoft to Ipswich; 19.50 Ipswich to Lowestoft;
20.04 Ipswich to Felixstowe; 20.33 Felixstowe to Ipswich;
19.36 Norwich to Great Yarmouth; 20.22 Great Yarmouth to Norwich;
18.57 Norwich to Lowestoft; 19.50 Lowestoft to Norwich.
Monday 25 December & Tuesday 26 December 2005
No train services will operate on National Express routes on 25 & 26 December with the exception of Stansted Express services on Boxing Day Tuesday 26 December when a 30 minute frequency of service will run, first train from Liverpool Street will depart 06.00, first train from Stansted Airport will depart 07.00, last train from Liverpool Street will depart 23.00, last train from Stansted Airport will depart 23.59.
Wednesday 27 - Friday 29 December 2006
A scheduled weekday service will operate on National Express Metro, Mainline and Rural networks.
On the National Express West Anglia routes between Liverpool Street and Cambridge, Chingford, Hertford East, Cheshunt, Enfield Town and Stansted Airport a scheduled Saturday service will operate.
Saturday 30 December 2006
A normal Saturday service will operate on all National Express routes.
Sunday 31 December 2006
A modified Sunday service will operate. Some routes operated by National Express will close down earlier than usual on New Year's Eve. The last trains from London Liverpool Street will depart at the following times:
21.02 to Harwich Town; 21.32 to Walton-on-Naze; 22.32 to Braintree; 23.30 to Norwich / Ipswich; 22.32 to Clacton; 00.45 (Monday) to Southend Victoria; 05.00 * (Monday) all stations to Shenfield; 00.02 (Monday) to Chelmsford / Colchester; 22.45 to Cambridge (service starts from Stratford); 01.00 (Monday) to Chingford; 23.03 to Hertford East; 04.55 * (Monday) to Seven Sisters / Enfield Town; 23.25 to Stansted Airport.
* Additional early morning services will operate on Monday 1 January to a 30 minute frequency between approximately 00.30 and 05.00 from London Liverpool Street for all stations to Shenfield, and all stations to EnfieldTown.
