Santa to Travel by Train
On Sunday 6 December Santa will be travelling with National Express East Anglia from Southminster to Wickford on the 11.05 and 13.05 services.
Santa and his helpers will be visiting all the children on the train and giving out Christmas presents. There will also be carol singers, face painters and a puppeteer on the train to add to the festivities.
This is the sixth year that Santa has travelled on the Crouch Valley line.
Lynda Stone Community Rail Partnership Officer said:
‘The Essex & South Suffolk Community Rail Partnership is so pleased that Santa wants to travel with us once again this festive season. I know he is really looking forward to meeting everyone.’
Last year Santa entertained nearly 300 children on the special services. It is hoped that this year’s festivities will be better than ever. So for a little Christmas magic why not join the Santa train.
Clive Morris, Head of Customer Service for National Express East Anglia’s Southeast region, commented:
‘We are delighted that Santa will be joining us once again on the Crouch Valley Line this year. Last year’s Santa trains were a great success, resulting in a fun, festive, family day out for everyone who came along. I’d like to say a very big thank you to Lynda Stone and the Essex and South Suffolk Community Rail partnership for helping to organise this special event.’
