New Partnership for a Ticket to ride from Felixstowe

National Express East Anglia and Suffolk Coastal District Council have teamed up to provide customers with the opportunity to purchase a selection of train tickets from the Tourist Information Centre in Felixstowe. The new initiative was launched on Wednesday 23 September at 14.30, at the centre, with representatives from both organisations attending.

The Tourist Information Centre, based at 91 Undercliff Road West, will sell a range of peak and off-peak rail tickets for travel to London and selected routes around East Anglia.

Tanya Havers, National Express East Anglia’s, Business Development Manager commented:  “We’re pleased to be working in partnership with Suffolk Coastal District Council to make rail travel more accessible for all people in Felixstowe, whether they are tourists or local residents. The Tourist Information Centre is located on the sea front and is ideally situated for people passing to and from the town centre and beach, who want to enquire about train services or purchase tickets.”

Cllr Doreen Savage MBE, Suffolk Coastal’s Cabinet Member for Customers & Partners said:  “I welcome this new initiative with National Express East Anglia which will mean that once again people will be able to buy rail tickets from our Felixstowe TIC which is successfully providing a wide range of services to both visitors to the resort and also to the local community.”
